BREAKING NEWS: No More Classes or Examinations on Campus this Academic Year

The University has just announced that all teaching will be delivered online for the rest of Semester 2, i.e. until the end of this academic year on Friday the 29th May. This means there will be no examinations on campus this semester.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian White delivered the following statement to all students via the University Comms Team email.

“Dear student,

In light of the new advice from the UK Government yesterday, the University can now confirm we will deliver all teaching online for the remainder of Semester 2, which ends on Friday 29 May 2020.

More details will follow on any necessary assessments yet to take place, but there will be no examinations on campus.

We hope this will enable students to make informed decisions about whether to stay on campus or to relocate elsewhere. To reassure students who wish to stay on campus, essential services such as student accommodation, shops and catering outlets as well as the Library and Sports Training Village remain operational.

We will, of course, continue to closely monitor official advice and update you.

With best wishes,

Professor Ian White

Vice-Chancellor and President “
