Dame Glynis Given Pay Rise From 16/17

The University’s Vice Chancellor was awarded a pay rise of 3.9% in 2016/17, equivalent to £17,589.

The rise was revealed after a FOI request by the Bath Chronicle into the Renumeration Committee notes, which documented the pay rise of the VC and numerous other high-ranking University staff. The decision was made in the Renumeration Committee’s July 2016 meeting, which Dame Glynis has since stepped down from.

The information comes at a critical time for the University, in the midst of the ongoing HEFCE investigation and national media attention.
